We are excited to introduce the City of Central Economic Development Foundation (COCEDF). The establishment of this organization is the result of several years of planning and collaboration, beginning with an economic strategic plan developed in late 2023.
That plan affirmed that faith, family, and education are the pillars that make our community strong. These guiding principles reflect the identity and character of the City of Central and serve as the foundation on which our future growth must be built. COCEDF exists to support and strengthen these pillars through strategic, responsible, and smart community growth.
Smart economic growth is essential to securing the investments needed to preserve and advance our core values. Our desire is to create an environment that promotes strong families, fosters vibrant and sustainable businesses, supports workforce education, enhances our quality of life and place, uplifts our faith and nonprofit community, and cultivates a knowledgeable and skilled citizenry.
The City of Central Economic Development Foundation received its 501(c)(3) IRS designation in 2025 and is governed by a six‑member Board of Directors. Our mission is to stimulate economic growth, encourage business diversity, and enrich the vitality of the City of Central.
In the weeks ahead, we will share opportunities for businesses and citizens to actively participate in advancing this mission. Together, we can build a stronger, more prosperous Central.
